Grupo Menos é Mais began to perform in November 2016, following the initiative of three musicians, Gustavo Goes, Jorge Farias and Pietro Silva, who played together samba and pagode on sporadic occasions and at private parties. The trio received their first opportunity to play, weekly in a bar, in Taguatinga, in the Taguaparque. During this period, Ramon Alvarenga became part of the family. And, in 2018, Eduardo Caetano (Duzão) came in.
In 2017, we started producing our own events and gained space on the local scene. The party "Making Love with 8 People" was born in Calaf, which, on a monthly basis, presented us with a full band for 700 people, on average. In parallel, a 'roda de samba' was created in Buteco da Boa on Sundays, which for one year was one of the most requested pagodes in the city. This year we started to open national shows.
The year 2018 was marked by the first recordings and the export of our pagode. The first of them was at the party "Making Love with 8 People" at the Ases Club, which was published on the Leandro Brito channel and reached 50,000 views in two weeks. The second recording was the 'Roda de Samba of Menos é Mais at Buteco da Boa', produced by Thiago Viegas (photo), which reached 50,000 views by the channel in less than a week.
In December 2018, began the project "Holiday with them", which reached mark history in the musical scene of Brasilia. With only local attractions - Less is More, Di Propósito, DJ Kacá and DJ A - the event managed to move more than 7 thousand people in three editions. The second edition (photo), in Garden Hall, had about 3 thousand people. In addition to showing the strengthening of the bands involved, the event showed the rise of the pagoda in the federal capital.
